Frankie Armstrong & Darien Pritchard
15-21 April 2009
Kinnersley Castle,
Herefordshire, UK
This course offers a unique opportunity to attend an intensive, residential training on the melodic natural voice. It is designed for people who wish to run voice workshops or incorporate voice into their existing work. Participants preferably need to have confidence with their vocal skills and/or experience in running groups and workshops. Places are limited to 12 people.
In addition to individual and group time to help people focus on their needs in these areas, we will also look at the process of working with groups, creating and setting up improvisations, structuring and pacing workshops, dealing with difficult situations/individuals, and contexts in which this approach can be applied.
As well as bodywork being an integral part of the workshop, there will be daily warm-up sessions taken by Darien, focusing on aspects of body release and energy that relate directly to vocal expression. There will also be a session with an experienced community music organiser on self employment, project development, marketing, finance, publicity etc.
"I learned so much ..... This has given me so many ideas about how to move forward in my work.. magical, thankyou.
